Subject: ROY ROGERS & PHYLLIS BROOKS !
Subject: ROY ROGERS & PHYLLIS BROOKS !
What more could you ask for ? The handsome, Trigger-riding, Roy Rogers, AND, the ever beautiful, love-them-lips-and-that-smile Phyllis Brooks !
PLUS, did I mention, John Carradine is the villian? Well there you go ! And, add to that Smiley Burnette, and Bob Nolan & the Sons of the Pioneers, and you've got a "modern day" western complete with Hot Rods, Convertibles, and, horse-drawn runaway wagons !
Watch for one of the MOST DANGEROUS Stunts that you'll ever see during the last 10 minutes of the show...it concerns one of those "runaway wagons" mentioned above.
In addition, Joyce Compton, a really beautiful blonde, was usually cast as the "dumb blonde"/comedy relief as she was in "Country Gentlemen" with Olsen & Johnson. But she was a truly talented actress and I always enjoyed her performances.

Subject: Roy Rogers can't be beat!
Subject: Roy Rogers can't be beat!
This film is by the thinking man's/woman's cowboy. Roy doesn't just outshoot 'em, outfight 'em, and outride 'em; he outthinks 'em, too. In this film, a mail-order bride in the form of an ace lady reporter from the big city goes and marries a fellow with a big ranch who immediately is murdered so the bad guy goes after her so he can get the oil hidden under the ranch she just inherited while Roy who is accused of the murder tries to clear himself and rescue the girl while singing several songs. How's that for a story. There's lots of action, lots of mystery, and even some romance. Can't beat that! Have fun with this one. It's great!
